How to spot a fake COACH?
1. Stitching Quality
Pay attention to little detail such as the quality of the stitching. If the stitching looks sloppy, off line, overlapping or glued its not real.
2. Zippers
Coach also uses the best hardware like the zippers. The brand stamp on the zippers should be “YKK”.
3. Coach made in China
Coach bags were made about 75% of the time in the US as of 2002. But now most of them are made in China but if it says made in Korea/Thailand then its not a real Coach Bag.
4. Things to look for in the Signature Coach Collection
a)Signature C’s
The easiest way in determining authenticity would be to exam the layout of the signature C’s. The signature C’s should be lined upperfectly to the center. The tip of the “C” facing the other “C” should be touching. The seams should go straight down through the middle of the CC’s, and the pattern should be aligned horizontally and vertically.
Check for the classic Coach “C”s. Fakes will often have “G”s to avoid being prosecuted if marketers are found selling them.
b)Coach uses logo tags that are attached to a beaded chain. The tag should match the trim of the bag.and the word Coach should be raised not inprinted.
c)Coach bags have a serial number stamped on the inside on a square patch of leather sewn into the lining.
